Feast of Tabernacles
And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.- Zechariah 14:16
Since its inception in 1980, the Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles has been a vital and central part of the ministry of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem to comfort the people of Israel (Isaiah 40:1) through practical expressions of friendship and support. Pilgrims come from around the world to worship the Lord, pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and bless Israel in this time of restoration. We believe that celebrating the Feast each year honors the Lord in anticipation of the fulfillment of the words spoken by Zechariah when “…the nations shall come up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16).”
The Christian Celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles is held during the Jewish celebration of Sukkot (Leviticus 23). It is a celebration of unity, joy, rest, and restoration. Traditionally, it celebrates the ingathering of the harvest, the coming of the rains, the protection, and the provision of God to His people during the unforgiving emptiness of the desert. In receiving the promised Messiah, we have become Tabernacles for His glory.
It has impacted more than a hundred thousand Christians with the biblical perspective of recognizing the hand of God in Israel’s modern day restoration and the need to work with what God is doing, and bless it.

About the Feast Theme 2023
Our Feast theme this year is taken from Psalm 47:7… “For God is the King of all the earth.”
This speaks of the Creator God who rules over all He has made, even those who do not acknowledge His existence. He reigns supreme over all things, which were made for His enjoyment and splendour. “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11 / KJV)
